Detailed Description

Day 1: Hanoi arrival

Our driver & tour guide will pick up you at the airport, transfer you to your hotel in Hanoi. Check in hotel & have free time at leisure. Stay overnight at Sofitel Metropole Hotel (5*****).
 

Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B, L)

AM: 8.00 pick up at your hotel to Hochiminh Complex for visit Hochiminh Mausoleum, Hochiminh Museum and One pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda. Continue to visit Literature temple, the first University in Vietnam in 16th century. Have lunch in the restaurant in Hanoi.
PM: At 13.00, we will visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. It contains more than 10,000 objects, 15,000 black and white photos and hundreds of videotapes and cassettes, which depict all aspects of life, activities, customs, and habits of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. Have walking tour in 1000 Years Old Hanoi Old Quarter. Have water puppet show at 17.15. Finish show at 18.15. Stay overnight at Sofitel Metropole Hotel (5*****).
 

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

AM: Pick up at your hotel at 8.30am. Transfer to Halong Bay by private car. Stop on the way to visit Dong Trieu ceramic and pottery village. Arrive in the habor at 11.30.
PM: 12:15 Transfer by tender to the Indochina Sails boat – enjoy Welcome Drink. Receive cruise briefing and check in to cabins and begin cruise.
13:00 Lunch - deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu.
Massage service is available beginning after lunch and throughout the cruise.
14.30 Arrive at Titop Island. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach and climbing the steps to the top of the mountain on the island for fantastic views and photo opportunities. Water and towels supplied. We will spend about 45 minutes on the island.
15.15 Transfer back to the boat and sail for approximately 45 minutes to our second destination - the Bat Cave area.
16.15 Arrive at the Bat Cave area. There are two programs to choose from at this time. One option is a 40 minute kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding waters. Kayaking is $10. per person unless already booked as part of your package. Water is supplied. The second option is to visit the largest floating fishing village in Halong Bay. We will travel to the village on the tender and tour the village for approximately 20 minutes.
18:30 Arrive at Luon Bo area - anchor for overnight.
19:00 Dinner – deluxe Vietnamese & Western Buffet or Set Menu Dinner.
20:30 Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 9:15, board games and playing cards are available, join squid fishing from the boat with our crew, massage services are available. Also at this time we offer, when possible - depending on weather conditions, an excursion to a nearby squid fishing boat. We travel by tender and you will be able to board the squid boat and see how the local fishermen catch squid and other fish, the excursion lasts about 45 minutes.
21:00 – 23:00 Happy Hour! Buy one drink - get one free (wine excluded).

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hue (B, L)

AM: 6:45 Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.
7:00 Arrive at the Surprise Cave area, there is a small fishing village here.
Relax onboard. You may join Tai Chi instruction on the sundeck at 7:00, duraion about 30 minutes.
8:00 Transfer by tender to the Surprise Cave. Walk up the 100 steps to the entrance of the cave and tour on foot for approximately 45 minutes.
9:00 Upon return to the boat take time to freshen up and please check-out of cabins. Please leave heavy luggage outside of the cabins (staff will transfer to the pier). Depart for Bai Chay/Halong pier.
9:30 Enjoy Breakfast Set Menu or Buffet served in the dining room. Settle bills in the dining room after breakfast.
10:00 Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room and enjoy the bay scenery as we approach the pier.
10:45 Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier.
11:00 Transfer by tender to the pier, relax inside the pier building while waiting for return transportation
PM: Transfer to Noi bai airport for your flight to Hue
Arrive in Hue at 20.00. You are picked up and transfer to your hotel. Stay overnight at Pilgrimage village resort & spa (5*****)
 

Day 5: Hue city tour – Da Nang – Hoi An (B, L)

AM: Start tour at 8.00. We visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Have lunch in a restaurant in Hue. PM: Have boat trip to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang. Then we visit the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Transfer 130km from Hue to Hoian via Danang city. Arrive in Hoian at 18.30. Check in hotel Stay overnight in Golden Sand Resort & Spa (5*****).
 

Day 6: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

AM: Breakfast at hotel, exploring the rich history and culture of Hoi An, an ancient Japanese, Chinese and European port of trade. Much of Hoi An's rare wooden architecture remains in this small, pleasant town - typically a favorite stop for it's elegant pagodas, bustling riverfront marketplace, tailoring and artist shops, delicious cuisine, as well as beach combing on scenic Cua Dai Beach. We take in the former merchants' houses, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful market with its stalls brimming with tropical specialties. Have lunch at the restaurant.
PM: Visit the Cham museum and the Marble Mountain, Thanh Ha ceramics village and Kim Bong carpentry village. Transfer Danang airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City at 17.40 (VN 325). Arrive in HCMC at 18.50. You are picked up and transferred to your hotel. Stay overnight in Park Hyatt Hotel (5*****).
 

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh city tour – Cu Chi tunnels (B, L)

AM: : We visit the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame cathedral, the Old Central Post Office. Visit Ben Thanh market where anything and everything is for sale. Have lunch at the restaurant in HCMC.
PM: Continue the trip to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. Stay overnight in Park Hyatt Hotel (5*****).
 

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Can Tho (B, L)

AM: This morning pick up from your hotel at 8.00 am we set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for it's floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. Visit Orchards farms, handicraft village. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta.
PM: Transfer to you hotel in Can Tho, check in hotel. Have free time at leisure in Can Tho. Stay overnight at Victoria Can Tho Resort & spa (4****).
 

Day 9: Can Tho – Cai Rang – Saigon – Siem Reap (B, L)

AM: 7:00AM: After breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market with the busy scene right at the time. Keep cruising through the small channels system, visit the rice noodles making village. Experience the "Monkey Bridge" in the Delta.
Break time for lunch.
PM: Towards the end of the day we drive back to Tan Son Nhat airport for your flight to Siem Reap at 18.35 (VN 849). Arrive in Siem Reap at 19.35. You are picked up and transferred to your hotel. Check in hotel. Stay overnight in Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor (5*****).
 

Day 10: South Gate of Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat (B, L)

AM: In the morning, we start our tour to South Gate of Angkor Thom, and then go to Angkor Thom (the temple) which was built by Angkor's greatest king, Jayavarman VII. The major attraction of Angkor Thom is the Bayon, whose exact function and symbolism is still unknown until now, then go to Baphoun which is one of the most spectacular of Angkor’s temples in its heyday; Terrace of the Elephants was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall; Terrace of the Leper King is another of Angkor’s mysteries. Have lunch at the restaurant. PM: In the afternoon visit the World Seventh Wonder which is well known as Angkor Wat, which is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Angkor Wat stretch over some 400 sq. km, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. In the evening view sunset at Phnom Bakheng Hill Stay overnight in Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor (5*****).
 

Day 11: Floating Village – Luangprabang (B, L)

AM: Today is a good break from the temple so that we will tour to floating village and boat trip on Tonle Sap Great Lake to see the lifestyle of fishermen. Tonle Sap is famous for the basin of fresh water fish there were 10 tons/ 1Square Km in the 60’s, visitors may visit the fresh water exhibition where we can see various kinds of fish in Tonle Sap Lake. On the way, we will have a chance visit Pagada and experience the real Buddhism in Cambodia. When we arrive the pier, we will have take the boat to the floating village and enjoy our time under fresh water wind.
PM: Check out hotel at 12.00, then transfer to airport for the flight to Luangparabang from Siem Reap (QV523 - 15.00 – 18.15). Arrive in Luangprabang and then transfer to hotel. Stay overnight at La Residence Hotel (5*****).
 

Day 12: Luangprabang – City tour (B, L)

Have full day city sightseeing tour the world heritage listed of Luangprabang including: Wat Aham, Wat Visoun is one of the oldest temple, it become the historical and cultural centre of Luangprabang. The temple was built in 1552 by King Visounnarath, to house of various Buddha Statues collection, Wat Xieng Thong is the most beautiful in Luangprabang and even in Laos. Edified in 1560 by King Setthathirath, it has been built very close to the Mekong. With its roof sloping down to the soil, it is acharacteristic of Luang Prabang architecture, inherited from the period of the kingdoms Sua. Its rear elevation is decorated with a very nice colored glass mosaics representing the "Tree of life" on a red background. Continuous to the sanctuary you will find the red chapel whose external walls are decorated with glass mosaics from Italian inspiration and rendering a nice effect. Inside you will admire a laying Buddha, rare jewel of Lao statuary. To be visited also is the chapel of funeral hearses which is sheltering the impressive Royal Carriage 12 metre high. To enjoy the best of the sanctuary, especially to take pictures, it's betters, to make the visit afternoon time, Phousi Temple located at the hill top for it's beautiful view of whole Luang Prabang city and Mekong River, the panorama is superb, specially in the evening at down when the sun is staining the Mekong with blood before disappearing behind the mountains. But same as for every good thing, you have to deserve it and you will have to climb some 328 steps before being in position to enjoy the sight. Phousi Mountain is the holy mountain of Luang Prabang with at its top the Wat Chomsi Stupa 20metre high. Stay overnight at La Residence Hotel (5*****).
 

Day 13: Luangprabang – Pak Ou (B, L)

AM: Excursion by slow boat upriver of Mekong to Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting), are located at 25km from Luang Prabang on the Mekong banks at the mounth of the Nam Ou. Consider a minimum of one hour with slow boat, but the trip is superb and better than the quick boats too risky, unless you feel to be a new Indiana Jones. Pak Ou, well known Buddhist site is a pilgrimage place, having thousands statues and statuettes, mainly of Buddha, of Luang Prabang traditional style (Unfortunately the site is exposed to looting). Through stairs you can access to the second cave (Tham Phum) which is deeper. Take an electric torch. Opposite Pak Ou go and see the cliff falling sharply down in the Nam Ou. Quite impressive.
PM: On the way back, stop by to visit the local rice wine distillery village (Ban Sanghai). Return to Luang Prabang, then continue by road to hand weaving village (Ban Phanom) and transfer to hotel. Stay overnight at La Residence Hotel (5*****).
 

Day 14: Luangprabang – Kuangsi Waterfalls – Hanoi (B, L)

AM: Breakfast at hotel, today tour to Former Royal Palace now is the National Museum which was constructed in 1904. This Museum displays a lovely collection of personal artifacts of the Royal Family, photos, musical equipment and gilts received from Foreigners. Wat Mai was built in 1796 in typical Luang Prabang style and purely Lao in design. During Pimai Lao, the Prabang is put on display for cleansing by Lao People who use water with perfume and flowers to pour over to the Prabang, then excursion to Kuangsi Waterfalls. We make several stops in the typical villages as Houeising and Khmu village (Ban Thapaen were we will discover their daily authentic living style with picnic lunch box.
PM: Have flight to Hanoi in the late afternoon. You are picked up and transferred to your hotel in Hanoi. Check in hotel Stay overnight at InterContinental Hanoi Westlake Hotel (5*****)
 

Day 15: Hanoi departure (B)

Have free time in Hanoi before transfer to the airport for your departure flight. It is time to say goodbye Vietnam and we wish you a safe and nice journey back to home. HOME SWEET HOME (We will drop off for 02 different flights in day).

Terms & Conditions

This terms & conditions written by Vietnam Bamboo Travel. It applies to all people who made travel booking to Vietnam Bamboo Travel. Once you have your booking with Vietnam Bamboo Travel, you are agreed with below terms of service.
 

Tour Cancellation & Cancellation Fee:

All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to us via fax or email. The following rules apply for cancellations:
  • More than twenty (20) days prior to departure: 20% of the deposit or 100 US$ for the administrative fee
  • Less than twenty (20) days prior to departure: Complete forfeiture of deposit, due to hotel charges we incur for guest no-shows.

 
Children Policy:

Children under 12 years are generally granted a reduction of 30% of the tour price, provided that they are accompanied by at least two full-paying adults and stay in the same room. An extra bed is fully charged as an adult.

 
Deposit & Payment:

A deposit of 20% of the tour price per person plus bank charges (credit card/ bank transfer processing fees) is required upon confirmation of your booking (If this amount is less than US$100, a US$100 per person deposit will apply). Once a deposit is received it is understood that you have read, understood and accepted all our Terms and Conditions.

The remaining balance of the tour price (80%) shall be paid in Vietnam within 3 days upon arrival.

 
Unused Services:
No refunds or exchanges can be made with respect to accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services, included in the tour price, but not utilized by the tour members.
 

Travel documents will be compiled after the deposit has been received and are sent two or three weeks prior to departure. These documents will be sent via email, and should be printed out by participants and retained as a receipt.

 
Responsibility:
All possible care is taken to ensure that our suppliers maintain the highest possible standards. However, we are not responsible in any way for problems, however they arise, that result from the booking of services we do not directly control.

Vietnam Bamboo Travel, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, servants or agents shall not be responsible or become liable in contract or tort for any injury, damage, loss, delay to person or property, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly due to any events beyond our control.
 

Refunds:

With Vietnam Bamboo Travel, you do not have to pay for anything you do not get as we have committed with you while making your reservation. Moreover, any kind of fault services under our control will be refunded to customers. Please do let us know if you are in one or all of cases below:
  • Air - conditioner does not work at all
  • Poor, rude or unreceptive tour guides and drivers

 
Validity:

This information is valid at the time of publication but is subject to change without prior notice. However, should any changes occur, they will be posted on the website immediately. However, should the Terms and Conditions change after the deposit is paid, the Terms and Conditions under which the deposit was paid shall apply.
