Detailed Description

Day 1: Hanoi - Sapa

This evening we take the overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai near the Chinese border.

Day 2: Sapa (B, L)

Upon arrival in Lao Cai we drive the 35kms to Sapa. The morning will be free to walk around this former French hill station town. Later we visit the market and walk up Ham Rong hill for some good panoramic views of Sapa town and the surrounding valleys.

Day 3: Sapa - first camp (2,000 m) (B, L, D)

We embark on the first part of the ascent as we trek through terraced rice paddies and valleys. En route we pass through the small H'mong village of Cat Cat nestled in the valley. We cross the Linh Ho river via a bamboo bridge and start our ascent. Once we reach an elevation of 2,000m we set up camp for the night.

Day 4: Trek to second camp (2,400m) (B, L, D)

Today we continue our ascent through rainforest as we climb approximately 400m before setting up our second camp with the help of our porters. We spend a second night in the open.

Day 5: Trek to summit and return to second camp (2,400m) (B, L, D)

After breakfast we set out for summit, which will take the best part of the day. As we continue on we pass through primary forest containing giant, centuries old pine trees and expanses of yellow bamboo. Our continuing trek will take us to an altitude of over 3,000m as we arrive at the roof of Vietnam: Fansipan Peak. Once at the summit we will have time to savor the best panorama in Vietnam.

Day 6: First camp - Sapa (B)

Today it’s downhill just about all the way. Following breakfast we begin our descent and reach Sapa by around lunchtime. From here we will return by road to Lao Cai for the overnight return train journey to Hanoi.

Day 7: Arrive Hanoi

Upon arrival at Hanoi Station (around 5.00am) you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Terms & Conditions

This terms & conditions written by Vietnam Bamboo Travel. It applies to all people who made travel booking to Vietnam Bamboo Travel. Once you have your booking with Vietnam Bamboo Travel, you are agreed with below terms of service.

Tour Cancellation & Cancellation Fee:

All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to us via fax or email. The following rules apply for cancellations:

More than twenty (20) days prior to departure: 20% of the deposit or 100 US$ for the administrative fee
Less than twenty (20) days prior to departure: Complete forfeiture of deposit, due to hotel charges we incur for guest no-shows.

Children Policy:

Children under 12 years are generally granted a reduction of 30% of the tour price, provided that they are accompanied by at least two full-paying adults and stay in the same room. An extra bed is fully charged as an adult.

Deposit & Payment:

A deposit of 20% of the tour price per person plus bank charges (credit card/ bank transfer processing fees) is required upon confirmation of your booking (If this amount is less than US$100, a US$100 per person deposit will apply). Once a deposit is received it is understood that you have read, understood and accepted all our Terms and Conditions.

The remaining balance of the tour price (80%) shall be paid in Vietnam within 3 days upon arrival.

Unused Services:

No refunds or exchanges can be made with respect to accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services, included in the tour price, but not utilized by the tour members.

Travel documents will be compiled after the deposit has been received and are sent two or three weeks prior to departure. These documents will be sent via email, and should be printed out by participants and retained as a receipt.

Responsibility:

All possible care is taken to ensure that our suppliers maintain the highest possible standards. However, we are not responsible in any way for problems, however they arise, that result from the booking of services we do not directly control.

Vietnam Bamboo Travel, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, servants or agents shall not be responsible or become liable in contract or tort for any injury, damage, loss, delay to person or property, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly due to any events beyond our control.

Refunds:

With Vietnam Bamboo Travel, you do not have to pay for anything you do not get as we have committed with you while making your reservation. Moreover, any kind of fault services under our control will be refunded to customers. Please do let us know if you are in one or all of cases below:

Air - conditioner does not work at all
Poor, rude or unreceptive tour guides and drivers

However, should the Terms and Conditions change after the deposit is paid, the Terms and Conditions under which the deposit was paid shall apply.
