Pick up from your hotel in Saigon City.
Our 1 Day private cruise excursion starts from Cai Be, departing from our own pier in Phu An hamlet at around 10.00 am.
Upon embarkation on Cai Be Princess boat, clients are welcomed with fresh cotton towels.
The tour will start with the visit of Cai Be colorful floating market, cruising among local sampans coming from all provinces of the delta full of fruits and vegetables. Your sampan will proceed to Dong Hoa Hiep island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be. During a 40 minutes cruise, you will be able to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people.
Visit at an ancient mandarin house dating from the 19th century where the family will welcome you with a cup a tea.
Back on board, we will lead to you to observe the activity of the biggest rice stock market. Further, others stops will allow you to see a traditional bricks and tiles factory and how locals are using palm leaves for houses. Cruising 20 minutes further to Phu An hamlet passing by Cai Be beautiful church, we will have a visit at some interesting home factories to see how rice paste is made, but also rice cookies, coco candies, as well as longan fruits drying process.
Lunch will await you at Le Longanier, a superb Indochinese villa located in a lush tropical garden by the river, surrounded by fruit orchards.

After a short walk along a beautiful canal, the excursion will end at approx. 3.30pm at Ba Bon Bridge where your own private transportation vehicle will await you.
Transfer back to Saigon City. End of service.

Having our head quarters based in Phu An/Cai Lay (next to Cai Be, Tien Giang Province), we operate cruises and related tours services in the Mekong Delta using our own built sampans, all stylishly designed and inspired by ancient authentic traditional indochinese river boats.

Sampans "Cai Be Princess" (I, II, III, IV, V)
Capacity 30 pax / Dimensions: 13m long x 2.8m wide / ideal for small groups or individual travellers - Daily Private chartered cruises (no join-in) from 1 up to 3 days (with overnight at local houses).
Sampans "Mekong Princess" (I & II)
Capacity 45 pax / Dimensions: 15m long x 3m wide / ideal for groups, equipped with toilets on board - Daily Private chartered Cruises (special itineraries possible on request). In this respect, Mekong Horizon has developped a range of products, activities and projects that: Minimises negative economic, environmental and social impacts. Generates economic benefits for local people, enhances the community and improves working conditions. Involves local people in the decision-making process. Contributes to the conservation of the environment and cultural heritage. Provides an enjoyable tourism experience and opportunity for tourists to meet locals. Provides tourists with a greater understanding of local cultural, social and environmental issues. Provides access for physically challenged tourists. Promotes respect between tourists and hosts, while building locals’ confidence.
Today, the company operates an own-built flottila of 11 boats with designs and styles reflecting true authentic ancient "sampans", using materials such as rattan, bamboo and exotic wood.
